The Association of Philippine Medical Colleges Student Network - Mindanao Region would have its 1st Mindanao medical students fellowship entitled "Leading the Frontiers for a Compassionate Healthcare in Mindanao" on September 19-20, 2009 at Xavier University - Dr. Jose P. Rizal School of Medicine.

The objectives of the fellowship are:

• To gather and organize the student council officers and other interested students from all medical schools in Mindanao
• To select/elect core group/officers of APMC Student Network Mindanao
• To acquaint the students with the APMC Student Network, its principles and objectives

Students from the following medical schools have confirmed their participation in the fellowship:

• Xavier University
• Mindanao State University
• Ateneo de Zamboanga
• Davao Medical School Foundation
